General Information
 Courses will be held in the Cytology Training Centre, Southmead Hospital Bristol.
Microscopes are provided.
Coffee and tea are provided.
Meals are available in the hospital restaurant between 7.00am and 8.00pm.
Details regarding fire regulations will be outlined at the start of each course.
Management reserve the right to amend or cancel any course should circumstances dictate.
Places can only be booked by completing an appropriate application form.
Course Fees
Places are free to all NHS employees working in the South West Region, ie. Avon (including Bath), Gloucestershire, Somerset, North East Devon, Devon and Cornwall.
Charges for other NHS employees will be sent to the appropriate employing Health Authority or Trust. Please note that a letter of authorisation must be obtained before this method of payment can be processed.
In the case of non-NHS staff, payment will be required in advance.
Cheques should be made payable to "North Bristol NHS Trust".
Cancellations which are made within one month prior to the commencement of a course will be charged £50.00. (This does not apply to employees of the South West Region.)

Car Parking
There are two Visitors' Car Parks. Both entrances are situated in Avon Way, Zone B of the Hospital.
Pay & Display charges: 0-3 hours £2.00; 3-5 hours £4.00; all day £6.00; all week £12.00

Site Courtesy Bus
A free campus 'hail and ride' courtesy bus is available, picking up close to the Visitor's Car Parks and other key areas. It runs from 8.00am to 8.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Banking
There are no banking facilities available on site at Southmead Hospital. However, there is a Post Office and a Links machine available locally. |
